Somewhere, Virginia is a world-premiere drama by John Harney, directed by Anna Rebek, in Theater for the New City’s Johnson Theater during the Dream Up Festival. A congressional chief of staff who walked out after the 2024 election calls three former colleagues to a house in Virginia. Runtime is about 90 minutes with no intermission. The play is built as a pressure cooker among people who used to share a building and a set of talking points. It is new work in a 155 First Avenue house that has been producing downtown theater since 1971. Showtimes: Tuesday September 8 at 21:00, Wednesday September 9 at 18:30, Thursday September 10 at 21:00, Friday September 11 at 18:30, Saturday September 12 at 14:00. About $18 plus fees via OvationTix. First Avenue between 9th and 10th.
