Queensbridge is an immersive play drawn from life in Queensbridge Houses, written by Marlin Thomas and directed by DeMone Seraphin. Theater for the New City’s Cabaret Theater at 155 First Avenue holds the East Village run during the Dream Up Festival. The audience is not parked behind a fourth wall. Thomas has said half of production revenue is earmarked for the Riis Center at Queensbridge Houses, so a ticket is also a donation path. Performances include Saturday September 5 at 17:00, Tuesday September 8 at 21:00, Thursday September 10 at 18:30, Friday September 11 at 21:00, Saturday September 12 at 17:00, and Sunday September 13 at 14:00. Tickets about $20 plus a service fee via queensbridgestageplay.us. First Avenue between 9th and 10th.
