World Music Institute presents the duo of Wu Fei (guzheng) and Abigail Washburn (banjo) at DROM. Saturday October 17, 2026. Doors 18:30, show 19:30. Washburn is a Grammy-winning folk musician and TED Fellow who has spent years touring China with a banjo instead of a brief. Wu Fei is a Beijing-trained guzheng master and composer whose work runs from Forbidden City commissions to free improvisation with people like Fred Frith and John Zorn. Together they play unhurried, conversational pieces that treat Appalachian and Chinese folk as one vocabulary. $30 advance / $40 door has been the posted range. 21+, $20 table minimum, no refunds. 85 Avenue A. This is a listening night. Sit if you can.
