Cuban-born pianist, vocalist, arranger, and 2025 Latin Grammy winner César Orozco brings SonAhead to DROM for the album release. The band’s brief is Cuban son and 1990s timba cut with modern jazz and electronics, with Orozco out front as singer rather than only at the piano. Orozco trained at the National School of Arts in Havana, spent 14 years in Venezuela, did graduate jazz piano at Peabody, and now subs as conductor and pianist in Broadway’s Buena Vista Social Club. SonAhead is the return to Cuban roots after those years. Friday September 18, 2026. Doors 18:30, show 19:00. GA about $20 advance / $25 door. 21+, $20 table minimum, no refunds. 85 Avenue A.
