Blue Monday is Phoenix Bar’s weekly New Wave, synth, and moody-pop night in the East Village. The room leans into darker 80s and 90s textures rather than a generic bar playlist: think early New Wave, coldwave, and sad-pop that fits a Monday reset. Phoenix is a long-running queer bar at 447 East 13th Street. The house runs a daily happy hour from 15:00 to 19:00 ($4 Bud/Bud Light, $5 wells, $6 house wine) and the bar is open 15:00 to 04:00. Come for the music, stay for cheap drinks and a neighborhood crowd that actually talks to each other. No cover is listed. 21+ is the safe assumption for a late East Village bar.
